Seventy years ago today, on September 14, 1950, China and Switzerland established formal diplomatic relations, and the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland became the first Chinese government diplomatic office in Europe at that time.

In the 70 years since the establishment of formal diplomatic relations, the two sides have established more than 40 mechanisms for consultation and dialogue in the political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological fields, with close bilateral economic ties and rapid development momentum, and Sino-Swiss relations have always been at the forefront of China's relations with developed countries in Europe in a pioneering spirit.

In order to celebrate this important historical milestone, to promote practical cooperation between China and Switzerland, to expand the development of cultural exchanges between the two countries, and to further strengthen mutual understanding and communication between China and Switzerland, the first Swiss Art and Culture Fair, led by the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association and Beijing Culture Investment Group, will be held from December 2020 to May 2021 in the National Foreign Cultural Trade Base (Beijing) located in the Tianzhu Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.

The Swiss Art & Culture Fair will integrate the most representative Swiss handmade artworks and Swiss-made goods resources, introduce Swiss jewelry design, fashion design, artwork appraisal and other service resources, present the Chinese people with the original taste of cultural products and internationalized, high-quality service formats, all-round, multi-angle visual feast for the Chinese people.

The first Swiss Art & Culture Fair will be different from the traditional model, with not only the traditional offline exhibitions, but also a series of cultural and artistic dialogues and experiences through online exhibitions and dialogues, cultural salons and forums !
